Haven at the Pumpkinfest. We never found a Pumpkin patch, however, which was dissappointing!

My mom was in town this weekend keeping Haven and I company while Dustin was at a bachelor party in Vegas. Over the course of the weekend, my mom made healthy meals for us, including a huge batch of soup and homemade pineapple carrot muffins. We went on walks, went to a show and hit up Silly Goose (yum)!
To top it all off, Nanna bought Haven a gorgeous fall wardrobe!
After I took mom to the airport, I did a little crafting and made these flower headpieces for Haven’s 3 month photo shoot coming up on Friday! This was the most domestically productive weekend I’ve had in a looong time!
Got home from the nD Festival and had an anxious little snuggler waiting for me. I love her :)
I just got home from the nD festival tonight and had a great time with the Sleeveless team!! I love these girls and am so grateful for them, their creativity, sweet spirits, hard work and dedication! We had a blast and I got to catch up with a lot of goo Nashville friends.
The highlight of the night was Jamie and the Jones. So sophisticated! So talented. Hand marbled silks, pleated dresses and chunky knits. Gorgeous!

Haven found her fist in the last couple days… Apparently it tastes better than the paci… Uh oh, I see braces in her future!

21c...this Hotel had us at…the elevators! The whole concept behind this boutique hotel is that art enriches your life and so it’s part gallery, part museum and of course, part hotel. Their are interesting installations all over the lobby and in the gallery on the basement level. But the elevator nook on the main floor keeps full grown adults entertained for hours. A projector is aimed at the wall but a video camera is embedded in the wall so that your own image is on the screen. The letters fall down the screen and rest on whatever image is being shot. The letters form a poem while resting on your head….or luggage…or in our case, even Haven. You can see we were enamored with this installation. Haven was a great travel companion and loved every bit of our excursions.
We ate at Proof, the hotel restaurant, for nearly every meal (except for a horrible experience at Vicenzo’s…DON’T EVER GO THERE…as one Trip Advisor review read, “they’d had better meals and service at Olive Garden…wish I’d taken note and gone elsewhere) and loved everything we ate and drank. You can see the pic I took of the delicious duck in a previous post. Their bison burger was great! The service was spectacular and the decor was perfect.
Lastly, Dustin and I got some pics of the gallery and the art. I like the bird drawing that reads, “When the bird has flown away, what would we do with the cage.”
We spent 2 days at the baby expo and it was way more fun than I imagined it would be. Dustin and I loved all the cool gadgets and ended up walking away with a bunch of cool samples, a new stroller that works (more on that story later), a cradle that we can set up by our bed, and some other gadgets. I’ll fill you in on some of the awesome gear in the next post. All our friends who have babies now…you will want to check back. For the rest of you…you just wait til you have a little nugget…I swear, you will be interested then!
